Personnel who have completed or started an education or training in accordance with previous guidelines (rev 1) at the time of entry into force of these guidelines (rev 2) shall consider having adequate education and training. The course requires knowledge in general subjects as English, Norwegian and Math equivalent to advanced Courses of study for vocational.

Candidates with basic course and and/or extended courses from other disciplines, seeking a career in drilling and well professions.

The course will give a theoretical introduction to drilling and well subjects, and make a platform for candidates coming from basic or extended courses from other subject areas, looking for a further career in drilling and well subjects.This course will create a platform for candidates without "fagbrev" ( letter of qualification) in drilling and well subjects to apply for entry to the Technical School of Petroleum Technology, a 2 year study. Students must also complete/Pass the public VK1 exam in well technique.

A certificate will be issued to each candidate who successfully has completed the training. Course certificate will contain information about the training location, course content, date of completion, the candidate's name and date of birth and be signed by the Managing Director/Course Coordinator.
